The 3 Most Inspiring Things I’ve Learned This Week. (Week 7)

1. What do neuroscientists say you should do to deal with anxiety and depression? Ask yourself this question: What am I grateful for? You know what the antidepressant Wellbutrin does? Boosts the neurotransmitter dopamine. So does gratitude! Know what Prozac does? Boosts the neurotransmitter serotonin. So does gratitude!

3.  What am I expecting? A study was carried out in 1998 on thirteen people who were extremely allergic to poison ivy. Each was rubbed on one arm with a harmless leaf but were told it was poison ivy. All thirteen broke out in a rash when the harmless leaf contacted their skin. The same group was touched on the other arm with poison ivy and told it was harmless. Only two reacted to the poisonous leaves! This can be applied to everything we face. Our mind delivers what we expect it to.
